Aaron, Ammon, Amnon,
Andrew,
Abishai, Abishag, Abigail, Ahab, tell the world of Me.
Ahaziah, Amaziah, Ahimaaz, Ahasuerus,
Ahithophel, Abiathar, Ahitub, too,
Asahel and Absalom, Abner and Abednego,

Cornelius, Capernaum, and

Back in the days when the earth was young
Men grew very old
And if you lived nine hundred years
You won’t
outlive your father

Too long away from the
One who made them
They could not be bothered
The Lord said "I have had enough of this
I'm gonna
send water.
Noah, build yourself a boat
For the things worth saving.
All these people and there's only one
who pleases Me
That's the way My story goes."

And all that God desired to save
Came on board to meet him
Everyone in Noah's house
Was counted
with their father
But all the rest, they were left
God could not be bothered

There were many people who wouldn't leave
But Noah found grace in the
eyes of the Lord

Riding waves above the mountains

For by grace he was saved through faith

Isaac lived for forty years before he met Rebekah
And twenty more before they had a child
But before the
time had come
They knew there’d be more than one
"Hey Becky, that’s why baby is so wild!"
"It
seems they’re always fighting!" Rebekah one day said
"I think I’ll ask the Lord what’s
going on"
The Lord gave her the news of two nations in her womb
And gave the blessing to the younger
one
Jacob, Supplanter was his name
Uprooting other kingdoms
until he alone remained
Just like Jesus the greater king to come
All His foes will fall until He is
the only one
The time arrived for giving birth
And just like it was promised
The two of them were fighting
for a place
But soon the race was won
By a red and hairy son
For Esau was the first to show his face
And though he was a fighter
He could not get away
For Jacob had a hold upon his heel
And so forever
after he could never shake it free
The things that God had promised were for real

Pharoah thought he was the sun god
When you think such rot you're bound to be bad
Though he tried to keep
us under
In the end he died, and God's people were glad

Sisera, he was the leader
Of a move to crush the people of God
But he failed, and in the end
He had to go
to Jael and use his head for a tent peg...

Haman was so full of mischief he could barely breathe
He wanted us dead
Gallows tall he built for one of us
But plans don't work when you're losing your

Korah, Dathan, and Abiram (Numbers 16)

Korah, Dathan and Abiram
Never name your children this
If you want people to
admire 'em
They were the rebellious kind
Who knew what to do but they would not mind
They saw what the Lord
had done for Aaron
Priestly garments he was wearin'
And they desired 'em
Korah, Dathan and Abiram
The Lord
took a very dim view of this
And He told His people "Don't go near them
Move your tents away from theirs
If you don't want what's coming to them"
The Lord told the ground to open wide
And close up again when
they're all inside
Because these men would not obey
The way the ground did on that day
The Lord expired 'em

Ehud, Ehud, gave the king a word
from God
He delivered Israel, Ehud was his name-oh
Deborah, Deborah, why was she the leader?
She was
judging Israel and Israel would heed her
When the nation turned from God
The knees of men would quiver
Up! Up! The Lord raised up a woman to deliver!
Israel Worshipped Ashtoreth

Israel worshipped Ashtoreth and Israel worshipped Baal
So the Lord grew mad at them and sold them down the
rail
They served Cushan-Rishathaim until God changed His mind
And then Othniel He raised up to be Judge
isn't He kind?
And the land had rest until old Othniel died
Eglon king of Moab was as fat as he could be
His people conquered Israel and made them pay a fee
Ehud came with tribute and a message from the
Lord
And then left-handed Ehud gave him eighteen inches of sword
And so Israel was delivered by the Lord
Jabin king of Canaan reigned and ruled with harsh oppression
Israel had sinned again but now they made confession
Deborah was prophetess and Barak had command
And they routed old Sisera and drove him from the land
To a woman with a hammer in her hand
Israel turned away again from God, it didn't please Him
So He
called for Midian and brought them to police 'em
They would steal their breakfast
and their supper
and their lunch
Until Israel was hungry and afraid of this bunch
And their poverty had hit them like a punch
Hidden in the winepress was a quite unlikely hero
To the rescue he was called although his strength
was zero
Gideon took courage in the power of the Lord
And with three hundred men
he broke the might of Midian's
horde
Just to make it plain the victory is the Lord's
Jephthah was a fighter but he did not have much backing
All his brothers said "You're not of
us!" and sent him packing
How they wished when Ammon came
that they had not so done
For their one hope
of victory was in this rejected son
Tell me, doesn't that remind you of Someone?
The nameless king
of Ammon
tried his hand at some oppression
History was not his friend, so Jephthah gave him lessons
When the talk was over Jephthah beat him like a drum;
When you fight God's anointed you'll be shown
to be a bum
In the present age or in the one to come
Things are so much better, now the rightful Judge
is ruling
He has made us righteous and forgiven all our fooling
Let the nations hear it; Jesus is the
Judge and King
He will rule us forever and our tributes we will bring
He will have His way, let all creation
sing!

The son of Dodo a man of Issachar
He judged Israel twenty-three years
Then he died
and was buried at home
Jair had thirty donkeys
And thirty sons who rode them
And they lived in thirty towns

Ibzan had sixty children
Where
he got them all, I don't know
But he and Elon delivered Israel
Till they died and were buried at home
And old Abdon had thirty grandsons
And forty sons and they all rode
Donkeys that were young
He copied Jair
and was a judge like him

Angel said "There's gonna be a baby born
Time is near when you will have a son
Guard yourself, for
he will be a mighty man
He will be a savior for My people Israel"
Angel said "Careful don't defile
yourself
For this boy is set apart to Me"
That was all then poof! the angel disappeared
Left them with
a promise of deliverance to be
Samson, mighty deliverer
Freed God's people from the Philistines
Samson,
the one-man army
This man wears his faith like we've never seen!
God had seen the suffering of His
people dear
Lowly slaves who served the Philistines
Armies strong kept the Israelites in fear
So for
their deliverance the Lord devised a means
Just one man; Samson will be like a jawbone
In My hand to beat
My enemies
They will fall, and he will be a picture
Of the One to come who will make you free indeed
Samson, mighty deliverer....
How to Catch a Wife

We are the men of Benjamin, and we are happy boys
For the new lease on life we’ve been given
By the
sins we employed we were almost all destroyed
But now we have a sign we’ve been forgiven
We were alone
in the wilderness without a friend to help
We admit, we were despairing of our life
And without any doubt,
we’d have never made it out
If the Lord hadn’t shown us how to catch a wife
And now our joy is
plain
For little Benjamins will be growing again!
We just waited in the bushes till the girls came
dancing by
Then we swung our partner up and ran away
Lest you put up a fuss and you think the less
of us
The leaders of the land said it’s okay
We don’t say that you should try it; it isn’t always wise
But
we trust you’ll thank the Lord for our new life
Because you’d never read the book of Romans
If
the Lord hadn’t shown us how to catch a wife
And now our joy is plain
For He can take the dead and
raise them again
Now we are jumping for jubilation
That the Lord has shown us how

Then the kingdom split in two 'cause Rehoboam was a nerd
Ten tribes left,

The north went bad, the south delayed
Let's go South! (to the southern kingdom of Judah)
Rehoboam and Abijah, Asa and Jehoshaphat
King Jehoram, Ahaziah, Queen Athaliah was a cat
King Joash, king
Amaziah, king Uzziah, king Jotham
Kings Ahaz and Hezekiah, king Mannaseh was a dirty rascal
